What are Spend Cards?
Spend Cards are business cards that pull money directly from your Spend Account balance. You can create unlimited virtual and physical cards for different business purposes - no preloading required.
How many Spend Cards can I create?
Unlimited! You can create as many virtual and physical cards as you need at no additional cost.
Can I create cards for my employees?
This feature is coming in future. For now, you can create unlimited cards on the name of Business Owner.
What controls do I have over the cards?
You can set spending limits per card, instantly freeze/unfreeze/close any card, get real-time transaction notifications, and manage everything through your mobile app.
Do Spend Cards work at ATMs?
No, Spend Cards cannot be used at ATMs for cash withdrawals. They're designed for business purchases at merchants that accept Visa cards.
What happens if there's no money in my Spend Account?
The transaction will be declined. Unlike credit cards, Spend Cards require sufficient balance in your Spend Account for transactions to process. This helps you maintain better control over your spending.
Can I use Spend Cards for online purchases?
Yes, both virtual and physical Spend Cards work for online and in-store purchases anywhere Visa is accepted (except ATMs).
How do I create a new Spend Card?
Open your ScanPay app, go to the Spend section, and tap "Create Card." Choose virtual or physical, set the spending limit and you're done.
How quickly can I get a physical card?
Physical cards are shipped free within 7 days of creation to your business address.
How secure are Spend Cards?
Very secure. You get real-time transaction notifications, can instantly freeze any card, and have complete visibility into all spending. Each card can be restricted to specific merchant types with spending limits you control.
What if I see unauthorized activity?
Contact our support team at support@goscanpay.com immediately. You can instantly freeze the card through your app to prevent further transactions. We'll investigate and dispute any unauthorized charges.
What can I use Spend Cards for?
Any business expense: fuel for company vehicles, office supplies, vendor payments, employee expenses, equipment purchases, or any other business-related spending where Visa is accepted.
Can I set up different cards for different purposes?
Yes! Create a fuel card restricted to gas stations, a supplies card for office expenses, individual cards for team members, or project-specific cards. Each can have its own limits and restrictions.
How does this help with expense management?
You get complete visibility into who spent what, where, and when. No more petty cash, expense reports, or wondering where money went. Every transaction is tracked in real-time with merchant details.
Are there spending limits on Spend Cards?
You set the limits! Each card can have daily and monthly spending limits that you control. Limits vary based on your account status and can be viewed in your app.
Can I change spending limits?
Yes, you can modify spending limits for any card at any time through your ScanPay app.
What if I need to spend more than my limit?
You can temporarily increase limits through your app or create a new card with higher limits for specific purchases.
What if I have issues with a Spend Card transaction?
Contact our support team at support@goscanpay.com. We'll help investigate any transaction issues or disputes. You can also instantly freeze the card through your app if needed.
Can I dispute a charge?
Yes, reach out to our support team and we'll help you file the proper dispute claim for any incorrect or unauthorized charges.
